While many in the crowd will be
looking for a nice cup of coffee or a
mug of hot chocolate, themore inveter-
ate Ice Festival enthusiasts will be
lined up at the ice bar on the deck at E.
G. Nick's.
This year, the bar, carved complete-
ly from a block of ice, will be serving
Svedka vodka in various flavors,
according to E. G. Nick's co-owner
FrankAgostini.
“We'll be serving lots of flavors. It's a
great liquor,” Agostini, a professional
chef, said.
Agostini has used the cherry fla-
vored vodka in one of his appearances
on Fox 2 News in a morning cooking
segment. The Wild Cherry Chicken
dish drew raves from the newspeople
and the crew.
Also promoting Svedka vodka,
“Voted number one vodka of 2033,”will
be the Svedka Vodka Girls who will be
at the ice bar from 7 until 9 p.m. both
Friday andSaturday.
“They'll be handing out a bunch of
giveaways,” Agostini said. “I think its
tee shirts and lip balm, those kinds of
things to promote the brand, but I'm
not sure what they are bringing this
year.”
The ice bar is returning for the third
year, Agostini said, because people
really loved it during the festival last
year.
“It was great. People would come by
and do a double-take. They'd sit down
and find out that a nice 'adult beverage'
really does warm you up,” he said with
a chuckle.
“I hope everybody comes by. It's a
good time.”
