Home 'Tweet' Home starts
The Plymouth Community Chamber of
Commerce is sponsoring Home Tweet Home,
aPlymouthBirdhouseTour until April 20.
Join the retailers in downtown Plymouth
as they celebrate spring with a tour of unique
birdhouses. Visitors can vote for their favorite
and be entered into a prize drawing. Voting
forms are available up at participating shops
or on the chamber website: www.plymouth-
mich.org.
Romulus dinner-dance planned
The Greater Romulus Chamber of
Commerce has scheduled the annual Auction
and Dinner Dance for 7:30 p.m. March 30 at
theDetroitMetroAirportMarriottHotel.
Tickets are $50 per person and include
appetizers during registration and a themed
Mardi Gras meal. This year, renowned auc-
tioneer Doug Dalton will "live" auction some
items alongwith the traditional silent auction.
There will be music, dancing and a cash
bar. Registration starts at 6:15 p.m. and din-
ner at 7:30 p.m. Tax deductible donations are

Genealogists tomeet

Legislator setsmeetings
State Rep. Dian Slavens (D-Canton) will
host coffee hours in the area tomeet with resi-

Easter luncheon hatched
The Wayne Golden Hour Club and Senior
Services office will host the annual Easter
Party beginning at 11:30 a.m. April 5 at the
WayneCommunityCenter.
The reception, with punch, will begin at
11:30 and lunch will be served at noon. There
will be raffles, the famous bunny races, enter-
tainment in addition to lunch.
Tickets are $10 and available at the Senior
Services Office in theCommunity Center until
March 27.

Bunny Breakfast planned
The Bunny Breakfast in Wayne will take
place from 10:45 a.m. until noon April 6 this
year at the Wayne Community Center, 4635
HoweRoad inWayne.
Admission to the event for Wayne and
Westland residents is $4 and $5 for non-resi-
dents. Breakfast includes pancakes, sausage,
juice, arts and crafts for children and bal-
loons.
Photos with the Easter Bunny will be avail-
able for $3.

Marshmallowswill fly
The 33rd Annual Marshmallow Drop,
sponsored by Cross Pointe Church, will take
place this year at 10 a.m. April 6 at Attwood
Park inWayne.
The park is located next to the Wayne
Community Center. The event is free and
open to the public.

Men'sGood Friday Breakfast served
Lomas Brown, former Detroit Lion and
seven time all pro offensive lineman, will be
the guest speaker at the 37th Annual Men's
Good Friday Breakfast at St. Michael
Lutheran Church, 7000 N. Sheldon Road in
Canton.
The outreach event will take place at 8 a.m.
April 6. Tickets are $6 for men and $3 for boys
10 and younger.

Take-A-BreakDays set
A day camp for children, called Take-A-
Break Days will take place from 7:30 a.m.
until 5:30 p.m. April 10-12 at the Wayne
Community Center, 4635 Howe Road in
Wayne.
The camps are open to Wayne and
Westland residents in kindergarten through
seventh grade for $26 per day and to non-resi-
dents at $33 per day.
Activities will include ice skating, arts and
crafts, swimming and others.

HazardousWasteDay set
Wayne County residents can dispose of
household hazardous waste at a collection
planned for 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 14,
at the Romulus City Hall, 11111 Wayne Road,
northof GoddardRoad.
The event is sponsored by the Wayne
County Department of Public Services' Land
ResourceManagement Division.
A variety of household chemicals will be
accepted for proper disposal, including
household paints, stains, floor care items, fur-
niture polish, bathroom cleaners, lawn and
garden chemicals, antifreeze, pharmaceutical
waste, electronics andmore.
Only household products from Wayne
County residents will be accepted. For a com-

Showing off
The Northville Art House will present an all-media juried show of Arbor Women Artists.
AAWA is a non-profit organization that consists of approximately 330 women and men
with connections to the Ann Arbor area. The show, juried by Art House Exhibit
Committee members, will open in the Upper Gallery with an artist reception from 6-9
p.m. Friday, April 6. There will be an Award Presentation beginning at 6:30 p.m. The
show will continue through April 21 during the Art House gallery hours, 1-5 p.m.
