Deniece Lynn Caincross
Deniece Lynn Caincross, 53,
of New Boston, passed away
Saturday, March 17, 2012 at
Oakwood South Shore
Medical Center, Trenton.
She was born in Lapeer, MI
on Dec. 17, 1958, the daugh-
ter of the late Norma Jean
Thomason.
Mrs. Caincross was a
Reserve Police Officer with
Van Buren Township, and
dispatched for the City of
Belleville for several years.
She was a loving wife and
mother who took great pleas-
ure in taking care of her fam-
ily and remodeling her home.
Mrs. Caincross was of the
Lutheran faith. She enjoyed
gardening and looking for
four leaf clovers. She also
really loved her new
"Bumblebee" Camaro.
Mrs. Caincross is survived by
her husband, David M.
Caincross; three children,
Heather (Yacine) Belkadi of
Wixom, Cory Caincross of
Wayne and Nicole Caincross
of Canton Township; five
grandchildren, R.J. and Molly
Belkadi, Zane Richter and
Haley and Logan Brandess.
Mrs. Caincross was preced-
ed in death by her mother.
A memorial service took
place March 24 at David C.
Brown Funeral Home in
Belleville.
Cremation rites have been
accorded.

Gary T. Centek
Gary T. Centek, 67, died
March 20, 2012 at home after
a long illness.
He was born July 18, 1944 in
Romulus, the son of Andy
and Eva Mae (Gumlack)
Centek.
Among his survivors is his
wife, Diane (Wynn); four
daughters, Beth Ann Melville
and her fiance William Maze
of Belleville, Jill Marie Centek
and Jamie Mabelitini of
Monroe. Paula Jean Centek
and Henry Clark of Romulus
and Kelsey Centek (Mike), of
Birch Run; 12 grandchildren;
one great-grandson; a sister,
Darlene (Gene) Harbenski of
Carleton; a brother, Andy
(Judy) Centek of Canton
township; a brother- in-law,
Bill Cook; his extended fami-
ly of Tamara and Porter
Newsom
and
Kathy
Kruizenga of Grand Rapids,
Joshua
and
Jennifer
Newsom of Gaines, Darla
Wynn and Mark Thorton of
Swartz Creek, and Jeff, Tricia
and Alex Wynn of Ortonville.
Mr.
Centek
previously
worked at the Romulus com-
munity Schools as a
mechanic. He served with
the Romulus Volunteer Fire
Department from 1965-1978,
and held the rank of captain.
He was also employed as a
heavy equipment mechanic
for Fed Ex working at Detroit
Metro and Flint Bishop air-
ports.
Mr. Centek was a veteran of
the U.S. Army.
He was predeceased by his
parents and a sister, Virginia
Cook.
Cremation rites were accord-
ed.

Registration for 5 and 6-year-old co-ed T-Ball
is now under way in Plymouth. Registrations will
be accepted in the recreation office from noon
until 4:30 p.m. weekdays throughApril 13.

Compost pick up begins
Due to the unseasonably warm weather the
Plymouth Township compost contractor will
pickup yardwaste and compost curbside early.

Church serves fish dinners
St. Aloysius Catholic Churchwill serve all-you-
can-eat fish dinners from 4:30 until 7 p.m. on
Fridays duringLent throughMarch 30.
Dinners include fried fish, macaroni and
cheese, seasoned potatoes or French fires, green
beans, Cole slaw, dinner roll, dessert and a bever-
age.
The price for adult meals is $8. Meals for chil-
dren 10 and younger are $4 and those younger
than 3 eat at no cost with the purchase of an adult
meal. Carry out dinners are priced at $8.

Fish fries every Friday
First United Methodist Church of Wayne will
sponsor a Fish Fry from 4: 30 to 7 p.m. every
Friday in March. Fish dinner includes baked or
fried fish, baked potato or French fries, veg-
etable, Cole slaw and a roll. Children's meals are
also available and include, nuggets or one piece
of fish, French fries, vegetable, slawand a roll.
The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children's'
meals. Home made pie is also available for $1 a
slice.

Wayne across from the Wayne Post Office. The

Requiemconcerts planned
The parish choirs of St. Mary in Wayne,
Sacred Heart of Dearborn and St. John
Neumann of Canton Township have joined
together to offer a performance of Gabriel
Faure's "Requiem" at 7 p.m. March 31 at St. Mary
Catholic Church in Wayne -- located at 34530
MichiganAve.
The performance includes soprano and bari-
tone solos. The choirs will be accompanied by a
live orchestra of violins, violas, cellos, harp and
organ.
The concert is free and open to the public. For

Easter EggHunt set
Children up to age 14 are invited to partici-
pate in the annual Easter Egg Hunt at noon
Saturday, March 31, at the Romulus Historical
Park onHunt Street.
The event is free and is presented by the
Romulus Downtown Development Authority
Pumpkin Festival Committee and the city recre-
ation commission.
Children will be divided into four age cate-
gories to hunt for Easter eggs containing prizes: 3
andunder; 4 and 5; 6 to 10; and 11 to 14.
TheEaster Bunnywill be present. Photos with
theEasterBunnywill be $2.

City garage sales planned
The ice will be removed from the Plymouth
Cultural Ice Arena for two city-wide garage sales
this year.
The sales are planned for 9 a.m. until 2 p.m.
May 12 and June 9 but reservations for seller
spaces are nowbeing accepted.
A 10 by 10 space can be rented for $20, but the
spaces are limited.
Buyers are admitted to the sales at no cost.

Violin lessons offered
The Plymouth Community Arts Council is
sponsoring violin classes from 5:45 until 6:15 p.m.
Fridays throughMay 4 at theArtscoHouse.
The cost for the eight classes is $86 for mem-
bers and $96 for non-members of the arts council.
The classes will be limited to six to 15 students
and will include note-reading, rhythm, music
symbols and ideas in the classes taught byHektor
Qyteti. Qyteti is the associate concertmaster for
the Michigan Philharmonic and is principal sec-
ond violinwith the group.
Students can bring their own instrument or
rent a violin for $45. There is also a $7 book fee.
