focuses on grief topics associated with the
death of a loved one. The DVD seminar fea-
tures nationally respected grief experts and
real-life stories of people, followed by a small
group discussion about what was seen on the
DVD.

Car showandSwapMeet set
The 18th Annual Don Rochon Memorial
2012 Car Show and Swap Meet will take
place from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Sept. 16 at the
Sumpter Township Fairgrounds on Sumpter
Road inBelleville.
Car show entry fee is $15 and close at
12:30 p.m. Awards will be presented at 2:30
p.m.
Swap meet exhibitor fee is $20 per 10 by
10 feet space.
There will be door prizes, a 50/50 raffle,
music, games and food.
Admission to the grandstand is $12 for
adults and $4 for children ages 3-12.
PENN-Taste-Tic ev
The Plymouth Community Chamber of
Commerce, in a joint effort with the Friends
of the Penn, will host the Annual PENN-
Taste-Tic Downtown Plymouth Restaurant
Crawl from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 18.
"Crawlers" can walk around downtown
Plymouth enjoying samples and treats from
many of their favorite Plymouth restaurants
and sweet shops. This year patrons have the
opportunity to try samples at five new estab-
lishments that opened in the past few
months.
This year's participants include: Burger
Spot; Cupcake Station; E.G. Nicks; Greek
Islands (new); Ironwood Grill; Kilwin's, KP
Sweets (new); Nico & Vali; Panache 447
(new); Panera; Perfectly Sweet (new); Rock
Bar & Grill; Sardine Room (new); Yogurt
Palooza and Zin Wine Bar & Restaurant
(new)
Tickets must be purchased in advance
and are available at the Plymouth
Community Chamber of Commerce, 850 W.
Ann Arbor Trail, and Sun & Snow 388 S.
Main St. in downtown Plymouth. Adult tick-
ets are $20, and children 10 or younger are
$15. All proceeds to benefit theFriends of the
Penn and theChamber of Commerce.

Victorian applications available
The Northville Victorian Festival will
return for the 24th year Sept. 21-23 through-
out the downtown area.
Registration for non-profit groups and
crafters who want to the part of the festival
are now being accepted. The festival is spon-
sored by the Northville Chamber of
Commerce and includes a parade, entertain-
ment, food, history and a craftmarket.
Non-profit groups including school clubs,
scouts, churches, service organizations and
others can now apply for booths to sell food
and merchandise as fundraisers or host
games. Booth rental is $100 for the entire
weekend. Hours will be 5-8 p.m. Sept. 21, 111
a.m. until 8 p.m. Sept. 22 and noon until 4
p.m. Sept. 23.
Crafters can join the craft market on
Saturday and Sunday. Craft booth rental is
$130withan additional $10 jury fee.

Library sells used books
The Friends of the William P. Faust
Library of Westland, 6123 Central City
Parkway in Westland will host a used book
sale from noon until 6 p.m. today, from 10
a.m. until 4 p.m. Sept. 7 and from10 a.m. until
3 p.m. Sept. 8.
Saturday is "bag day" when buyers can fill
a bagwithusedbooks for $4.
Prices range from $2 for large coffee table
books to 10 cents for magazines. There will
also be videos, cassettes, DVDs, CDs and
records for sale. All proceeds fund library
programs.

Veterans' Summit scheduled
A free Veteran' Summit will take place
from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sept. 13 at Laurel
Manor Conference Center, 39000 Schoolcraft
Road inLivonia.

The fourth annual strongest person com-
petition will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday,

Church hosts garage sale
St. Aloysius Church in Romulus will be
the site of a White Elephant/Garage Sale
from2-8 p.m. Sept. 14, from9 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Sept. 15 and 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sept. 16.
Included for sale will be household items,
toys, tools, linens, sporting goods, holiday
items, TVs, VCRs, books, DVDs, radio and
more.
The church is located at 11280 Ozga St. in
Romulus.
Mom2MomSale planned
The first Moraine Mom 2 Mom Sale will
take place Saturday, Sept. 15, at the
Northville school. There will be book tables
and more than 120 sellers are expected with
gently used infant, child, andmaternity cloth-
ing, toys, games, videos, books, and other
mom-related goods. Tables for gently-used
items can be rented for $20 and retail mom-
related vendors can rent a table for $40.

help provide extra support for students and
teachers.

Theater at Cherry Hill Sept. 12 through Sept. 23. Patrick McKane, also of Canton, por-
trays Eliza's father, Alfred P. Doolittle in the production. Tickets are $18 for adults, $16
