Grace Community Church in Romulus

Final state hearing tonight
The Michigan Department of
Transportation (MDOT) will host the fourth
and final public meeting for the I-275 at M-
153 (Ford Road) Area Traffic and
Environmental Study and Evaluation from 5-
7 p.m. tonight, May 30 in the Grand Ballroom
at Summit on thePark inCanton.
During the meeting, MDOT will present
the preferred alternative to address Ford
Road congestion. Public input and participa-
tion at this meeting are strongly encouraged,
a spokeswoman said.
The meeting will be an open house for-
mat. There will be no formal presentation
but numerous stations will be available for
attendees to get information on the project or
to talkwithproject teammembers.

Senator hosts coffee hour
State Sen. Hoon Yung Hopgood (D-Taylor)
will host a coffee hour for constituents from
8-9 a.m. June 7, at the Romulus House
Restaurant.
The meeting is open to the public and
offer an opportunity for the public to discuss
state and local issues directly with the sena-
tor.
The restaurant is located at 9110 Wayne
Road inRomulus.
Wrestlers compete inWestland
The Midwest Pro Wrestling Alliance will
host a wrestling event, Colllision, at 3 p.m.
June 2. The event is free of charge to all ages
and will be taped for television broadcast.
There will be an all star line-up of wrestlers,
including The United States Champion "The
Righteous Maker" Rick Baker, The Bradford
Dynasty, "Primetime" Tommy Johnson, Jay
Abrahms, anymanymore.
Collision will take place at the VFW Post
#6896, 28945 Joy Road, Westland. The Devil
Elvis Band will be present to perform and
there will be refreshments available for pur-
chase.

Chamber tees off
The Annual Golf Outing sponsored by the
Belleville Area Chamber of Commerce will
begin with a cannon start at 8:30 a.m. June 6
at the Links of Gateway Golf Course, located
at 33290GatewayDr., Romulus.
The cost to golf in the outing is $85 per
golfer. A foursome along with a tee sponsor is
$400, a savings of $40. Banquet only tickets
can be purchased at $40. Included in the
entry fee are 18 holes of golf with cart, con-
tests, lunch at the turn, steak dinner, four
drink tickets and each participant will be
included in the door prize drawing.

Middlebelt Baptist Church members will
host another in a series of clothing giveaways
from9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, June 8.
There are items for all ages and clothing
for children, women and men will be avail-
able, alongwith some other items.

of the Annual Spring Revival at 7 p.m.

A Tuesday Grief Support Groupwill begin
meeting from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. June 11

Rain barrel workshop set
The Romulus Downtown Development
Authority and the Community Garden organ-
izers will host a free rain barrel workshop
from 11 a.m. until noon June 15 at 36525
Bibbins inRomulus.
Information provided will demonstrate
the benefits of rain harvesting and the work-
shop is free.
There will be rain barrels for sale at a dis-
counted fee of $50.

WayneGardenWalk planned
The annual Wayne Garden Walk is
planned from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. June 22 this
year andwill take place rain or shine.
The Wayne Garden Club has chosen eight
private gardens for residents to tour. There
will also be vendors on hand and a white ele-
phant sale.
Tickets, available at the Wayne Public
Library beginning inMay, are priced at $8 for
pre-tour purchase or $10 the day of the event.
Rat Pack is back
It may seem like a trip backing time when Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy
Davis, Jr. take to the stage at the Village Theater at Cherry Hill June 22. The tribute per-
formances by spot-on-impersonators fresh off a successful run in Las Vagas will begin
at 4 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. The Star Tribute Show is presented by Top Quality Shows
LLC. Gary Corsello performs as Frank Sinatra, John Morello as Dean Martin and
Nicholas Brooks as Sammy Davis, Jr. Canton Village Theater is located at 50400
